Committed to improving Maternal-Child Health in Santiago Atitlán
When you sponsor a mother and child through the Pueblo a Pueblo Maternal Child Health project, you help our team improve healthcare access among mothers and children during the most vulnerable periods of pregnancy and early childhood.
We partner with a local clinic to provide participating mothers and their children with culturally conscious preventative and curative health care during the mother’s pregnancy and the child’s first two years of life. Pregnant women enrolled in the project receive subsidized pre and post natal care as well as medical support during labor and delivery. Our team also leads educational workshops on topics related to reproductive health and child development to encourage healthy habits among project participants.
Pueblo a Pueblo has a successful history of improving access to health care, education, and sustainable livelihoods in coffee-growing communities through integrated school and community-based programs.
As an organization focused on building lasting change in Santiago Atitlan, PaP's goal is to reach as many local participants as possible with their projects.
